The Rituals of Drakoria Court:

For centuries, the Drakorian Court has been known as the most formidable and loyal court in the world, a status earned through the sacrifices of its members. Each individual who becomes part of this circle, serving as the emperor’s closest confidant and ally, must undergo a sacred ritual that binds them to the court for eternity. This ceremonial act is not merely symbolic, no, it seals their loyalty in both blood and magic.

Upon receiving the emperor’s approval, the initiation of a new court member is celebrated with a grand festival. The central element of the ritual is the blood oath. In this rite, the initiate is presented with a sacred cup filled with the emperor’s blood, a symbol of his power and lineage. The initiate must then slice their own palm, allowing their blood to mix with the emperor’s within the cup. Once the two bloods are joined, the initiate drinks from it, cementing their bond. The remnants of the mixed blood are then set ablaze, the flames symbolizing the eternal nature of the oath. As the fire consumes the blood, it is believed to fuse the initiate’s spirit with the court, forever binding them to Drakoria’s service. From that moment on, the member is sworn to uphold the empire’s honor, and their loyalty is bound by magic.

Leaving the Court:

The only way to dissolve this sacred bond is through the emperor himself. If the emperor grants a member permission to leave the court, he will slit his own palm and use his blood to sever the bond. This rare act unbinds the member, releasing them from their eternal duty. However, to leave the court in disgrace is a far graver fate. Such a member experiences a spiritual loss, equivalent to losing a limb. The severing of the bond leaves an emptiness in their soul, often driving them to madness or despair, to the point where many choose to end their own lives.
