A Drakorian is only gifted one true mate, and no instances of multiple mates have ever been recorded in their history.

A rare but unmistakable sign of the bond's completion occurs when one member of the couple inherits the eye color of the other. This result is entirely random and unpredictable, but when it happens, it is seen as a mark of the completeness of the union. The shared eye color is believed to symbolize the merging of their souls.
It is strictly forbidden in Drakorian culture for males to taste the blood of any female other than their fated mate. To do so would be seen as a betrayal of the highest order, as blood is considered the essence of life and power in Drakoria.
